Stabilising and lifting platforms and loading docks

At a loading dock or station platform the heaviest load comes on the edge: lorries, forklifts or passengers. If the ground gives way, the edge tilts, level differences appear and the concrete spalls. With expanding resin we fill the void and lock the edge again, without demolition.

Mobile injection unit with hoses running to the site

Do you recognise this?

  • A dock edge tilting downwards
  • Level differences between dock and floor or between slabs
  • Hollow sound or loose slabs at the edge
  • Concrete spalling at joints and corners
  • Water washing out under the slabs

How it works

Along the edge and on both sides of the joints we drill down to below the slabs. The expanding resin fills the void, compacts the ground and lifts the slab where needed, under continuous laser control. After about 15 minutes it has 90% of its final strength.

Why inject?

  • No demolition of the dock or platform
  • Work in short windows, zone by zone
  • Our injection unit stays outside; only the hoses go to the work zone
  • Light material: about 85 kg/m³

Experience

Our team has already worked for logistics companies, distribution centres and the railways, where every hour of downtime counts.

With serious damage, have a structural engineer assess the situation. Soiltek is a specialist contractor: we record, measure, propose a technique and carry out the repair, in consultation with your engineer.

What can we do?

Deep Lift

Expanding resin strengthens the ground under the foundation, without digging.

Slab Lift

Sunken concrete floors back to level.

Injection experience by sector

Our team has been injecting since about 2006. Since then we have carried out hundreds of injection projects in Belgium and Luxembourg, from homes to large industrial sites. An overview by sector:

Chemicals and port sites

Injection under floors and foundations at chemical sites and terminals in the port of Antwerp, and at a lock.

Logistics and retail

Warehouse floors and expansion joints for logistics companies, distribution centres and supermarkets.

Industry and automotive

Production halls for car manufacturers and for steel, textile and concrete companies.

Food and breweries

Floors and foundations at breweries, a water bottling plant and food companies.

Rail, roads and airport

Work for the railways, along a motorway, at a bridge, at a naval base and at an airport.

Schools and public buildings

Schools, municipal buildings, a post office and a research institute.

Energy

Foundations of high-voltage substations.

Homes

Hundreds of private homes across Belgium and Luxembourg.

Frequently asked questions

Can the dock stay open?

We work zone by zone. A treated zone is usable again after about 15 minutes.

At night or at weekends?

For rail and logistics we plan within the window the operator allows.

What if the concrete itself is damaged?

Injection solves the void and settlement. A contractor then repairs broken edges.
