Stabilising machine foundations and floors under heavy equipment

A press, a machine or high racking puts a lot of weight on a small area. If the floor or base underneath settles, the machine tilts, guides go out of line or cracks appear around the base. With expanding resin we compact the ground below and lock the floor or base again, while the rest of the hall keeps running.

Concrete floor in an industrial hall lifted after resin injection

Do you recognise this?

  • A machine that keeps needing realignment
  • Cracks in the floor around a base or racking
  • A hollow sound or vibrating slab under the equipment
  • Level differences at joints under heavy racking
  • Production problems from a tilted set-up

How it works

Around and under the base we drill 12 to 16 mm holes. The resin fills voids, compacts the ground and lifts the floor where needed, under continuous laser control. With Deep Lift we also inject deeper where needed, down to about 3.5 m.

Why inject?

  • No demolition of the base or floor
  • The machine can often stay in place
  • Zone by zone, usable again after about 15 minutes
  • Light material: about 85 kg/m³

Experience

Our team has already worked in production halls of car manufacturers and steel, textile and concrete companies, and at breweries and food companies.

Machine loads and tolerances come from the manufacturer or your engineer. We put the ground and the floor in order.

With serious damage, have a structural engineer assess the situation. Soiltek is a specialist contractor: we record, measure, propose a technique and carry out the repair, in consultation with your engineer.

What can we do?

Deep Lift

Expanding resin strengthens the ground under the foundation, without digging.

Slab Lift

Sunken concrete floors back to level.

Injection experience by sector

Our team has been injecting since about 2006. Since then we have carried out hundreds of injection projects in Belgium and Luxembourg, from homes to large industrial sites. An overview by sector:

Chemicals and port sites

Injection under floors and foundations at chemical sites and terminals in the port of Antwerp, and at a lock.

Logistics and retail

Warehouse floors and expansion joints for logistics companies, distribution centres and supermarkets.

Industry and automotive

Production halls for car manufacturers and for steel, textile and concrete companies.

Food and breweries

Floors and foundations at breweries, a water bottling plant and food companies.

Rail, roads and airport

Work for the railways, along a motorway, at a bridge, at a naval base and at an airport.

Schools and public buildings

Schools, municipal buildings, a post office and a research institute.

Energy

Foundations of high-voltage substations.

Homes

Hundreds of private homes across Belgium and Luxembourg.

Frequently asked questions

Does the machine have to move?

Often not. We drill around it and, where possible, through the floor next to it.

How accurate is it?

We measure continuously with lasers and adjust to the millimetre.

Can this be done during a shutdown?

Yes. We plan the work in your maintenance window.
